Distribution of High-Risk Human Papillomavirus Genotypes among Women with Colposcopic Diagnosis of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia in Bangladesh

Background: The incidence of cervical cancer is high in Bangladesh and there a prevalence preinvasive lower genital tract disease among women reproductive age. Persistent high-risk Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection the main underlying cause its precursor, intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Objective: aim study was to identify subtypes HPV with colposcopic diagnosis Bangladesh. Methods: This cross-sectional observational conducted colposcopy clinic Dhaka Medical College Hospital over six-month period. A total 100 participants were enrolled. Married women, between 30 - 60 years age colposcopically diagnosed intra epithelial Women chronic illness, pregnancy, unable consent excluded from this study. After counselling, directed punch biopsies taken each CIN case concurrently testing by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: mean patients 38.69 (SD ±7.76) years. 1 57% participants, while 24% had II 19% III lesions.
